Donut Muffins are Old Fashioned Donuts with a thick sugar glaze and fall in muffin category… When I heard of this muffin it sounded intresting as we all like donuts snd muffins how come this in one….
This muffin is cakey and moist with domed top with the hint of cinnamon and a thick glaze that just melts in your mouth…It seems the old fashioned donuts are cakey and are not like that available nowdays… you can also check out my Old Fashioned Donuts recipe

- 1/4 cup butter (50gm)
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 11/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- /4 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp hot water

- Preheat oven to 220°c and line 12 muffin cups with liners. In a large bowl, beat with a wooden spoon the butter, oil and both sugars until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add the baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and vanilla.
- Add flour and milk alternatively until well combined.Donot over mix it
- Divide the batter evenly between the 12 muffin cups. They will be quite full. Bake for 15-17 minutes until the tops are springy to the touch.
- Cool for 10 minutes on a rack before glazing.
- Beat together all the ingredients for the glaze, then dip the top of each muffin in the glaze, allowing the excess to drip back into the bowl. Allow the first glaze layer to harden, then dip them once more.
