Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup All purpose flour maida
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup cool water
- 6 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp vinegar/lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla esence

- 2 tbsp softened butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp/tsp milk (depending on consistency)

Instructions
- Pre -heat the oven to 180 c for 10 minutes
- Sieve together Flour,sugar,cocoa powder,baking soda,salt and keep aside.
- In another bowl mix together wet ingredients and add in dry ingredients ,combine well until smooth batter.
- pour into a greased pan and bake @180 c for 30 minutes,until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
- when the cake is baked remove onto the wire rack and allow it to cool..
To prepare buttercream frosting
- Beat together butter,powdered sugar ,cocoa powder and vanilla essence ..Adjust the consistency with adding the milk until you get a spreadable buttercream.
- Spread onto the cake evenly ,slice and serve
