Home made vegetable olive Pizza loaded with vegetables ,cheese and olive.
Its 10th of January and time for Muslimfood bloggers challenge(MFB challenge)…This is the first challenge post of this year and the given theme is Olives… Although we rarely cook with it rather than munching as such… I love olives as such. when I thought of cooking a dish with olives first thing that came into my mind is a pizza that we buy from a shop near our house in saudi (dammam)… It’s just an simple pizza base with the onion tomato and capsicum and lots of olives and cheese… its just yumm..So for the challenge I prepared vegetable olive pizza, A pizza with easily available veggies , I used onion , capsicum and tomato , can use as you like.
with this post I also share my failproof pizza dough… and also will share the pizza sauce recipe its optional you can also use store bought too..
Vegetable Olive Pizza
Ingredients
- 2 cup All pupurpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 6 tomatoes
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1 tsp paprika powder/redchilli powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- pinch of saffron
- 1/2 tbspsp butter
- 2 tsp oil
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Activate the yeast if needed... Then In a bowl add flour, sugar ,salt oil mix well then add yeast mixture and warm water and knead into a soft dough... keep aside to double ....
- First blanch the tomatoes in water then remove skin and chop finely.
- In a pan add oil,add finely chopped garlic and saute till they turn slightly golden brown.
- Then add and saute chopped onions till they change colour.
- Add tomatoes and mix well then add oregano,chilli powder and salt n sugar ... cook for 1 minute then add tomato paste/sauce ..
- when cooled take half of the mixture and puree it and add to remaining.. keep aside
- Take pizza dough punch down and flatten into a greased sheet evenly
- Then spread the prepared pizza sauce top with sliced tomatoes,onion rings,capsicum rings ,olives sliced and finally top with lots of cheese ..
- Bake at 200°c for 12-15 minutes
