Tandoori popcorn chicken – Boneless chicken pieces marinated in tandoori marinate and coated in breadcrumbs and fried,sprinkles with tangy chaat masala…
It’s 10th of month and time for MFB Challenge ..This month theme is “Cooking from a Muslim Blog” and the chosen blog is “This Muslim girl bakes” A British pakistani blogger who has amazing recipes with step by step pictures… When I was going through her blog many of her recipes drooled me to try it out… Finally I have ended up with this chicken nugget… its a different flavoured nuggets .I selected this recipe for this month challenge and gave a slight change to it and made into a popcorn chicken..an indian touch chicken nugget. she has made them as one bowl chicken nuggets where she added all the ingredients and deep fried it… I gave a change by coating them in a panko breadcrumbs to make it crispy and crunchy…and served with the touch of chaat masala to make it more indian Flavours.. These bite sized appetizersate always welcomed in my house…so I usually try to incorporate different flavour to it… I had a idea of this tandoori marinate in mind for long but when I went through her blog I notived this recipe and decided that this would be a perfect recipe… As I have cut the chicken pieces tiny perfect for popcorn chicken I named them as tandoori popcorn chicken… you can make it more spicy version by adjusting with the ingredients …my recipe is mildly spiced as I have prepared for my kids… I know spicy version would really be yummm….

Tandoori popcorn chicken
Ingredients
- 2 boneless chicken breast
- 1 tsp redchilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp tandoori masala (can increase as per your taste)
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp yoghurt
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp maida
- chaat masala
- salt to raste
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the boneless chicken breast into small bite sized chunks
- To the chicken add redchilli powder, tandoori masala, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste , yoghurt salt to taste and egg mix it well and keep aside for minimum 1 hour..
- In a seperate plate mix together panko bread crumbs,Maida and salt mix well.
- Coat the chicken pieces in breadcrumbs and fry till crunchy and done
- Finally serve the popcorn chicken with sprinkle of chaat masala.
- serve hot with your favourite sauce.
