Shammi kebab is a small Patty of minced meat mixed with dal and spices which is soft and juicy.
Finally am back from vaccation ,a long gap in blogging.. Tried my favourite recipes on my blog in india for my family members… They all enjoyed it…and even I enjoyed preparing for them…although it’s difficult to get all stuffs in india some how managed to get and prepare a treat for them…
Coming to the today’s recipe ..This combination of meat and dal gives an extraordinary flavour to the kebab.. it is so soft that it just melts in mouth.. This kebab is shallow fried and is not deep fried…Extra crispness on outside and soft texture inside and is liked by all ages.
Shammi kebab
Servings 4 people

Cook Time 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 250 gm minced meat
- 100 gm channa dal
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 small onion
- 2 Greenchilli
- 1 tsp coriander leaves
- 1 tsp redchilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- pinch of cumin powder
- 1 egg
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Pressure cook all the ingredients except egg for 3 whistle
- If any water is remained then cook till dry.
- Cool the mixture completely and add egg ,mix it and refrigerate it until thick
- Apply oil in palm and make a small sized ball out of mixture and shape into kebab (round or oval).
- shallow fry until golden colour
