Prawns are our family favourites..Everyone at home just love the prawns..When ever I buy prawn surely some of them are kept aside to prepare this lip smacking prawn roast that goes well with the appam and roti..One of the secret to this recipe is preparing them in coconut oil and making it dry roast..

Prawn Roast
A spicy treat for the prawn lovers where prawns are cooked in spices and made into a thick gravy..

Ingredients
- 1/2 Kg Prawns cleaned and deveined
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 2 onions
- 1 tomato
- 1 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 3 Greenchilli
- 2 Tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
- 2 Tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 Tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 Tsp garam masala
- salt to taste
- handful of curry leaves
- coriander leaves
Instructions
- In a pan add oil ,onion and saute well then add in ginger garlic paste cook till raw smell is gone.
- Add in green chilli ,curry leaves and tomato cook till mushy .
- Add all the powders and cook till oil is separated.
- Add the cleaned prawns and mix it well..
- Add little water and salt and cook till dry.
- Finally add in coriander leaves.
