A crispy fried prawn broasted where the prawn pieces are marinated and dusted with spiced flour mix and fried..
Broasted is nostalgic to me .Being brought up part of my life in Saudi , I have had enough of brosted… First Arabic food that I tasted in Saudi is broasted… where ever we go there you get broasted .I remember still that days we had broasted very week… If we plan to have food outside then it will be mostly broasted.. Till now saudi broast have a uniqie taste. When ever my brother comes from saudi he never forgets to bring box of broasted… crispy fried yummm…. so that’s the story of my liking to broasted but today’s recipe is not chicken broast its “prawn broasted”… I got this recipe from my mom…. she makes it deliciously …. so on her recent visit to my home I asked her to make the broasted and also managed to take video of her …so you can see the video in the below ..As my family is a prawn lovers we just enjoyed it…

Prawn Brosted
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg prawns
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- salt to taste
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 2 tsp redchilli powder
- salt to taste
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the prawns in egg,pepper powder , ginger garlic paste , soy sauce ,vinegar and salt for minimum 2 hours...overnight marination is preferred for better taste.
- If you want you can cut the prawns in middle and make butterfly shaped prawns before marination... this will keep the prawn. somewhat straight on frying
- Prepare the flour mix by mixing together Flour,cornflour,redchilli powder,salt
- Dust the prawns in flour mix and fry till crisp and golden..
- serve hot with mayonaise or garlic paste
