Its 10th of month and time for our Muslim food blogger challenge .its long time I have participated in this challenge This time challenge is “Cooking from your mothers food” Moms food are always special and tasty..this time my mom has come here for a week stay with us so I have asked her to prepare my favourite recipe…Talking about this recipe Mutton Rava upma ,its so tasty and yummy especially when my mom cooks..even i couldnot make it as perfectly as my mom cooks,perfectly cooked correct consistency and yummy tasty..main trick of this biriyani correct consistency of rava being cooked ..I always love my moms rava upma with mutton.
Mutton Wheat rava upma
A Tasy ,spicy wheat rava biriyani/upma made with mutton,a variation from normal rice biriyani.

Ingredients
For the gravy
- 1/2 kg mutton
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1/2 piece staranise
- 3 cardomom
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 Greenchilli
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 5 tbsp meat masala
- 1 tsp redchilli powder
- water
- salt to taste
- coriander leaves
For Rava Upma
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1 Greenchilli
- 2 cardomom
- 1 clove
- 2 cup rava
- 1 cup coconut
- 4 1/2 cup water (water+stock)
- curryleaves
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a cooker add oil ,cardomom,clove,cinnamon, onion sliced ,greenchilli cook till onion is soft then add in tomato saute well.
- Then add in ginger garlic paste,coriander leaves mix well.then add in meat masala ,redchilli powder ,water and saute for 2 minutes.
- Then add in mutton ,salt water and cook till done.
- After mutton is cooked strain it and keep aside.
- In another pan add ghee ,clove,cardomom,,curryleaves,onion ,ginger garlic paste saute well.
- Then add in water (stock + water),coconut ,cooked mutton and boil it then add the rava and give a good mix and cook until water is dried.Mix it between
