This sandwich is quick to make as breakfast sandwich with a spread of labaneh on a sliceof bread topped with zaatar powder..
Labaneh is a middle eastern strained yoghurt…It has higher protein density than regular yoghurt and it is thick slightly salty with sour taste…and is less calorie than bread butter.. whereas zaatar is spice powder that too common in middle east is a mixture of dried herbs ,dried sumac and sesame seeds….
When i was in saudi i always like to have this where they spread the labaneh genoursly and top with zaatar powder then roll it and slightly baked or toasted…In each bite u get a lot of labaneh oozing out making it super delicious i cant say my mouth is watering…..I always keep the stock of labaneh in my fridge as a sandwich spread…recently I had this labaneh zaatar in operational falafel restuarent …Then on wanted to try at home…And for breakfast i made this sandwich and was a hit…
I have simply spread on a slice of bread it would taste even good if slightly toasted the bread then spread it…
