Another new year has come .. WELCOME 2016 Today My blog welcomes 2016 with traditional sweet :# Kesar phirni with caramelised nuts. Traditional rice custard cooked in milk and condensed milk flavoured with kesar/saffron topped with caramelised nuts.....
Cook Time 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 150 gm Basmati rice
- 1 tin condensed milk
- 2 Cups milk
- 1/2 tsp cardomom powder
- saffron kesar strandsstrands / few
Instructions
- Soak the rice for half n hour then grind to coarse.
- Boil the milk then add cardomom powder ,saffron strands when boiled add condensed milk , ground rice and cook until thick amd chill it
- In another pan add sugar and caramelise it then add nuts .pour over the silicon plate or foil paper smeared with ghee and allow it to cool then crush it
- While serving add the caramelised nuts on top of phirni and serve ....
- Here i have served in a clay pot tradionally.....
