Hot milk marble cake is a light , fluffy ,flavourful sponge cake with vanilla and chocolate flavour swirled made with simple ingredients and great in tastes.
My hot milk sponge cake post is the most viewed post in my blog. I have been getting many pictures from viewers and members who tried my cake … They say that its one of the easy to make recipes and they all loved it… I also get message saying that it has become one of the repeated tea time cakes in their home… I am really glad that I could post a recipe which is useful for all… I do have posted some of the picture sent under the hot milk sponge cake post… so if you have tried making it please do send I will post here .
Coming to today’s post its same recipe of hot milk sponge cake but I have added the chocolate flavour and swirled it…Many of them asked whether they can prepare chocolate version of hot milk sponge cake …ya you can prepare it but make sure to do change in dry ingredients … Instead of 1 cup of All purpose flour you should make it 3/4cup flour and 1/4 cup cocoa powder. that make it the chocolate milk sponge remaining ingredients are same… As many have confusion in adding the cocoa powder I thought I will make post explaining that and also show to marble cake… As this cake is very light and fluffy and trick to get this beating the eggs and sugar fluffy and triple in size and to mix the batter quickly and bake immediately… If you wait long then the cake will deflate and won’t get that fluffy texture… so keeping in mind what I have decided is while beating eggs and sugar . Prepare two bowl if dry ingredients one for vanilla cake batter other for chocolate cake batter…so that when it’s ready you just have to divide the egg mix equally and pour to each bowl mix and make a marble effect..Do check out the recipe ingredients below for more clarification.

Hot milk marble cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 + 1/4 cup All purpose flour divided
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 + 1/2 tsp baking powder divided
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- pre heat the oven to 180°c
- Beat the eggs and sugar till fluffy and they are triple in size.
- while eggs are getting beaten take two bowls , To one of them add 1/2 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking powder and pinch of salt, mix it well.
- To another bowl add 1/4 cup flour and 1/4cup cocoa powder and 1/2tsp baking powder and pinch of salt..mix it well
- In a pan boil milk and butter until butter is melted pour this over the tripled egg mixture followed by vanilla essence.
- Equally seperate the egg mix into two portion and add to the two dry ingredients bowl give it a quick mix
- pour the 1/4 th of vanilla cake batter un a geeased pan then fillowed by 1/4th cup of chocolate cake mix and vice versa until the whole batter is used up...
- Give it a tap and immediately bake @180°c for 30 - 35 minutes...until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool then slice and enjoy.
