Mutton cooked in a green masala and baked with the layer of boiled and beaten eggs….
Actually this dish is done for a online cooking event by UAEF guide group…It was a great pleasure hosting an event and enjoyed it….every one loved it….
Its actually from Bohra cuisine and made it in my own way… that suites our tastebuds..It goes well with parotta , aapam and even pathris…
STEP BY STEP PICTORIAL
Dabba Gosht
Servings 2 people
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 45 minutes
Ingredients
1.Greenmasala Paste:
- 1 inch ginger
- 10 garlic
- 10 Greenchilli
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Handful of coriander leaves
2. Cashewnut paste:
- handful Cashewnut
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 juice of lemon juice of
- coriander leaves
Instructions
prepare Green Masala Paste.
- Grind together ginger , garlic,greenchilli , coriander leaves,cumin seeds .
2.Prepare Cashewnut paste.
- soak cashew nuts in water and grind with ,cumin seeds , coriander leaves and lemon juice and keep aside
3.Prepare mutton masala.
- In a cooker add oil onion chopped cook till transparent and golden brown then add the prepared green masala saute it well till raw smell goes then add turmericpowder,coriander powder , redchilli powder garam masala and mutton mix it well add salt and cook till done.. Then add ground cashewnut paste and allow to boil for 2 mins .
- In another pan add ghee and add crushed garlic when its browned add to prepared meat mixture and mix it well.
4.Layering:
- In a baking dish spread the meat mix evenly then layer it with sliced hard boiled eggs sliced tomato then add 2 beaten eggs(add salt and pepper to it or add tbsp of prepared meat mixture to it to avoid eggy smell if you don't like it) finally garnish with corianderleaves on top of it and bake @180xb0c for 15 to 20 mins...
